Our MissionWe are committed to providing adult learners with the opportunities, experiences and academic preparation essential for both post-secondary education and employment. We will provide knowledgeable, dedicated teachers in a safe, challenging, and caring educational environment where instruction and assessment are aligned with high standards.

Program OverviewThe MITT Adult Learning Centres, in co-operation with Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology (formerly Winnipeg Technical College), and Manitoba Education and Training, have offered quality high school programming to adult learners since the year 2000. We provide a variety of high level Grade 11-12 Credit Courses to adults who are 19 years of age or older and have been out of regular high school for at least six months. The goal of our program is to meet the educational needs of our students in order to prepare them to pursue further training at the post-secondary level or to secure meaningful employment.

If English is not your first language, you must demonstrate that you are ready to take Grade 12 courses by producing a minimum benchmark level of 7 in Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening. In addition, you will be required to complete our English assessment. |
Mature Student DiplomaIn order to meet the graduation requirements for a Grade 12 Mature Student Diploma, students must have a minimum of eight high school credits with at least 4 of these credits being at the Grade 12 Level.
In addition, students are required to have at least one Grade 12 Math credit and one Grade 12 Language Arts credit. It is the student's responsibility to supply a transcript of any previously earned credits from other schools in order to reduce the number of credits that must be earned at our schools. |
